Delete your account

You can permanently delete your Otherwhere account, including all cloud-stored data, directly from the app.

From inside the app

  1. Open Otherwhere on your iPhone or iPad.
  2. Tap the Settings icon (top right of the home screen).
  3. Scroll to Account and tap Delete Account.
  4. Read the confirmation screen and tap Permanently Delete.

The deletion is immediate and cannot be undone.

What gets deleted

  • Your account record (Apple ID / Google ID mapping, email, display name)
  • All cloud-synced save metadata and save file backups
  • Drafts and unpublished worlds
  • Your entitlements record (subscription state on our side)
  • Analytics and crash report identifiers tied to your account

Local saves on your device are wiped automatically on your next app launch after deletion.

What is not automatically deleted

  • Your App Store subscription. Apple manages the subscription, not us. Cancel it at apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions or from your iPhone's Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions. Deleting your account does not refund or cancel an active subscription.
  • Worlds you've already published to the catalog. Published worlds stay live so other players who are mid-play in them aren't disrupted. The link to your account is removed and the displayed creator name is replaced with an anonymous label — there is no path from the catalog back to your identity.
  • Copies of any of your worlds already downloaded by other users. Once a world is in another player's library, we can't reach into their device to remove it.

Can't reach the in-app flow?

If you can't sign in, the app is broken, or you no longer have the device, email us at support@otherwhere.ai with:

  • The email address on the Apple ID or Google account you used to sign in
  • The approximate date you created the account, if you remember
  • The display name you used in-app, if you set one

We will verify ownership (Apple ID round-trip), then process the deletion within 7 days.
